Career Center Coordinator
Goodwill has a great opportunity for a full-time (30 hr/wk, Mon-Fri 10:30am-4:30 pm) Career Center Coordinator. Duties include providing community resource awareness, assisting individuals with career-related topics, and arranging General Education Development (GED) certificate study materials and tutoring. Qualified candidates will have a working knowledge in employment search skills and a background in Adult Education or related field. Preferred candidates will have excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to work effectively with wide variety of audiences. Group Home Live-In
Goodwill is seeking a Live-In for our group home located on Madison's west side. The person in this position will be required to be at home for 5 overnight shifts from 10 pm to 7 am. Sleeping is permitted but the Live-In must be available throughout the shift if the residents require assistance. Requirements include a general knowledge of mental illness, ability to effectively work with persons with mental illness and demonstrated ability to problem solve. Previous experience working with persons with mental illness preferred. Goodwill offers a separate one bedroom apartment, $7.25/hr for sleep hours and $10.75/hr for working hours.

 

Group Home Manager
Goodwill has a great opportunity for someone to manage an 8-bed CBRF located on the west side of Madison. Responsibilities include coordinating care and services for residents with serious and long-term mental illness. The person in this salaried position will supervise staff to care for residents in a respectful, recovery oriented manner. Must have knowledge of the professional standards and procedures related to the community care of persons with mental illness. This includes knowledge of symptom management, neuroleptic medications, behavior management, and task analysis. A Bachelor’s degree in a human service field plus three years of related work experience is required. A valid driver’s license with a good driving record is required.

 

Production Clerk
Goodwill Industries has open full-time and part-time weekend positions at our Donation Centers. Production Clerks will be responsible for assisting customers with their donations, writing receipts, and answering any questions. Duties to include sorting, processing and pricing donations. Candidates must have excellent customer service skills and the ability to lift 75 lbs. Preferred candidates will have online auction selling knowledge of selecting high value items. Preferred candidates will have a valid driver's license with access to a vehicle to drive to other Goodwill locations as needed. Full-time (40 hr/wk) position or a part-time (16 hr/wk) are available at East Springs. Part-time (16 hr/wk), (16 hr/wk) weekend, (13 hr/wk), (13 hr/wk) weekend, or (8 hr/wk) positions are available at Madison West. Part-time (20 hr/wk) weekday or (11 hr/wk) weekend positions are available at Middleton. Two Part-time (16 hr/wk) weekend positions or an (8 hr/wk) position are available at Richland Center. Part-time (20 hr/wk) position is available at Portage.

 

Production Manager
Goodwill has a great opportunity for a dedicated, detail orientated individual to manage our Donation Center in Portage or Richland Center. The Production Manager will effectively train and lead team in meeting operational goals in collections, processing, salvaging and transporting of goods. Prior supervisory experience preferred. Customer service experience required. Must have valid driver’s license and ability to lift 75 lbs.

 

Production Supervisor/Production Clerk
Goodwill Industries has a great opportunity for a Production Supervisor/Production Clerk to work at our East Springs donation center. This position would be both a Saturday and Sunday Production Supervisor and a 3 weekday Production Clerk. Supervisor responsibilities include overseeing the production, sorting, and salvage operations, ensuring store orders are met in a timely manner and supervising donation center employees. Production Clerk responsibilities include assisting customers with their donations, writing receipts and answering any questions. Duties will include sorting, processing and pricing donations. Qualified candidates will have the ability to lead the team in meeting operational goals. Must have the ability to lift 75 lbs and be able to work in a dusty, high trafficked environment. Prior supervisory experience preferred.

 

Production Worker- Other Salvage
Goodwill Industries has an opportunity for a part-time (LTE 20 hr/wk, Mon-Fri) position at our Mendota Street location. The person in this position will be responsible for sorting wares in the plant. Candidates must have the ability to make fast and accurate decisions and work independently. Candidates must be able to work in a dusty environment and have the ability to lift 75 lbs.

 

Resident Counselor
Goodwill has a great opportunity for a caring and dedicated individual to assist in the care and treatment of persons with mental illness, within a group home (CBRF) setting on the North or West side of Madison. A general knowledge of mental illness and its treatment, the ability to work effectively with persons with mental illness, and other service providers is required. This position also requires the possession of a valid Wisconsin driver's license. A Bachelor's degree in social work or related field, or an Associates Degree in Human Services with one year experience is required. 

 

Sales Clerk
Goodwill Industries is accepting applications for enthusiastic and customer service driven employees to work in our retail store. Duties include performing all functions of retail store operations which includes running the cash register, product handling, merchandising and providing excellent customer service. Previous retail and/or customer service experience preferred. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Candidates must be able to work weekend and evening shifts. Full-time (40 hr/wk) or (30 hr/wk) position, or a part-time (20 hr/wk) or LTE position are available at Madison East. Shopgoodwill Specialist
Goodwill Industries has a great opportunity for a full-time (40 hr/wk) E-commerce Specialist to work in our shopgoodwill.com department. Responsibilities include taking digital photographs of selected merchandise, writing item descriptions, and posting merchandise on our online website for sale. Ideal candidate has excellent digital photography skills, proficiency in Adobe Photoshop CS and Microsoft Office, basic HTML editing skills and experience with internet sales or online auctions. Candidate must be a proficient computer user with excellent descriptive writing ability, excellent grammar and spelling skills.

 

Support Specialist - Job Coach
Goodwill currently has openings for Support Specialists to assist adults with developmental disabilities and traumatic brain injuries to be part of the community. Responsibilities include providing direct support for jobs and community activities, participating in case planning, and performing personal care as needed. Education or experience working with people with disabilities is preferred. Must have valid driver's license with access to own transportation. 

 

Truck Driver
Goodwill Industries is seeking a full-time driver to transport goods, as well as load and unload trucks at various locations within South Central Wisconsin. Drivers will only drive local routes working day shift hours. No overnights! Class A CDL with a good driving record and ability to lift 75 lbs required. Previous forklift certification and/or experience preferred. Candidates with a Class B CDL will be considered if able to obtain a Class A CDL within 90 days of hire. Candidate with a Class B CDL need a Class A CDL permit to be considered. Must be able to work weekends and overtime hours.
