Career Center Specialist
Goodwill Industries has a great opportunity for full-time (35 hr/wk) Career Center Specialist to assist adults with job-related topics at our Fitchburg location. Responsibilities include helping individuals conduct online job searches, creating/critiquing résumés, help composing cover/thank you letters, and conducting mock interviews. Additional duties include assisting individuals in finding various community resources and aiding in completing online resource applications. Qualified candidates will have excellent verbal/written communication skills, ability to quickly and effectively develop a rapport with a wide variety of audiences, and a background in adult education/human services or related field. Preferred candidates will have a minimum of an associate’s degree. Please note that in order to be considered for this position, a completed application, résumé, and letter of interest must be included. The shifts will vary between Monday-Friday 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. There is flexibility working 20-35 hr/wk and can be discussed upon hire.

 

Direct Care Professional (working title: Job Coach - Support Specialist)
Goodwill Industries currently has a full-time (35 hr/wk) opening for Support Specialists to assist adults with developmental disabilities and traumatic brain injuries to work in, live in and be a part of the community. Responsibilities include providing direct support for jobs and community activities, participating in case planning, and performing personal care as needed. Education or experience working with people with disabilities preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license, access to own transportation, a good driving record, and proof of insurance. The position is located at our Administration Office working Monday through Friday. Starting wage is $11.33/hr and will increase to $11.47/hr in 2015.

 

Human Service Specialist (working title: Resident Counselor)
Goodwill Industries has great full-time (40 hr/wk) opportunities for a caring and dedicated individual to assist in the support and treatment of persons with mental illness, within a group home (CBRF) setting on the North or West side of Madison. Duties include working with residents in achieving their objectives in becoming independent and living in the community. Resident Counselors will gain experience in documentation such as writing treatment plans and case notes. Employees will learn available community resources in the Dane County area and gain experience with medication monitoring.  A general knowledge of mental illness and its treatment and the ability to work effectively with persons with mental illness and other service providers is preferred. This position requires the possession of a valid driver's license. An associate’s degree in human services field or equivalent experience is required.

 

Production Clerk
Goodwill Industries has open positions available at our donation centers. Production Clerks will be responsible for assisting customers with their donations, writing receipts, and answering any questions. Duties to include sorting, processing, and pricing donations. Candidates must have excellent customer service skills and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Full-time (40 hr/wk) and part-time (16 hr/weekend) positions are available at Monona and Fitchburg. Full-time (40 hr/wk, working one weekend per month) and part-time (8 hr/wk) & (16 hr/wk, working every other weekend) weekend positions are available at Madison West. Part-time (8 hr/wk) & (16 hr/wk, working every other weekend) weekend positions are available at Madison East. Full-time (30 hr/wk) and (40 hr/wK) and part-time (16 hr/weekend) positions are available at Portage. Full-time (32 hr/wk) and Limited Term Employment (0-40 hr/wk) positions are available at Fort Atkinson. Part-time (8 hr/wk) weekend position is available at Platteville. Part-time (16 hr/weekend) positions available Sun Prairie.

 

Production Clerk/Back-Up Production Supervisor
Goodwill Industries is looking for a dedicated, detail oriented individual to supervise our Donation Center as needed in the absence of the Production Manager. Responsibilities include overseeing the production, sorting, and salvage operations, ensuring store orders are met in a timely manner and supervising donation center employees during the weekends as needed. Prior supervisory experience preferred. Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. This is a 40 hr/wk position as a Production Clerk and Back-Up Production Supervisor as needed. The position requires working one weekend per month. This position is available at our Madison East or Sun Prairie Donation Center.

 

Production Manager
Goodwill has a great opportunity for a dedicated, detail oriented individual to manage our Fort Atkinson Donation Center. The Production Manager will effectively train and lead team in meeting operational goals in collections, processing, salvaging and transporting of goods. Prior supervisory experience preferred. Customer service experience required. Must have valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

 

Production Supervisor - Weekend
Goodwill Industries is looking for a dedicated, detail oriented individual to supervise our Sun Prairie Donation Center. Responsibilities include overseeing the production, sorting, and salvage operations, ensuring store orders are met in a timely manner and supervising donation center employees. Prior supervisory experience preferred. Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. This is a full-time (40 hr/wk) position working (16 hr/weekend) as a Production Supervisor and (24 hr/wk) as a Production Clerk.

 

Sales Clerk/Acting Store Supervisor
Goodwill Industries is now hiring for an Acting Store Supervisor to work at our Fitchburg and Madison East retail store as needed in the absence of a Store Manager. Great opportunity for someone looking to further develop their leadership skills. The person in this position will be responsible for opening and closing functions, cash management and daily audits, product handling and staff management. A working knowledge of retail operations, staff supervision and training, along with solid cashier/cash handling experience is required. Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. An ability to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, and rotating weekends will be required. A valid driver’s license with access to own transportation is required. This is a 40 hr/wk position as a Sales Clerk and Acting Store Supervisor as needed.

 

Sales Clerk
Goodwill Industries is accepting applications for enthusiastic and customer service-driven individuals to work in our retail stores. Duties include performing all functions of retail store operations which includes running the cash register, product handling, merchandising, and providing excellent customer service. Previous retail and/or customer service experience preferred. Must have ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Candidates must be able to work weekends and evening shifts. Full-time (30 hr/wk) and part-time (20 hr/wk) position is available at Madison West. Full-time (40 hr/wk) position is available at Sun Prairie. Part-time (20 hr/wk) position is available at Madison East, Fort Atkinson, and Monona.

 

Shopgoodwill Specialist
Goodwill Industries has a full-time (40 hr/wk) opportunity to work in our shopgoodwill.com department located at our Mendota Street office. Responsibilities include taking digital photographs of selected merchandise, writing item descriptions, and posting merchandise on our online website for sale. Ideal candidate has excellent digital photography skills, proficiency in Adobe Photoshop Elements and Microsoft Office, basic HTML editing skills and experience with internet sales or online auctions. Candidate must be a proficient computer user with excellent descriptive writing ability, excellent grammar and spelling skills. Starting wage is $13.00/hr.
