CARF Certification
A message from Barbara Leslie, President and CEO
Dear Friends:
I have great news!
I am proud to report that CARF, an internationally recognized accreditation body, has accredited us for our community housing, community employment, job development, and job-site training services for individuals with disabilities. The three-year accreditation means CARF has recognized us for meeting high standards of quality and for our commitment to pursuing excellence.
This accreditation represents the highest level of recognition that CARF can award to an organization and demonstrates our substantial conformance to high standards set by professionals throughout the field of rehabilitation. An organization receiving a three-year accreditation has voluntarily put itself through a rigorous peer review process and has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit that its programs and services are of the highest quality, measurable, and accountable.
CARF is an independent, nonprofit accrediting body whose mission is to promote the quality, value, and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process that centers on enhancing the lives of persons served. Founded in 1966 as the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, and now known as CARF, it establishes consumer-focused standards to help organizations measure and improve the quality of their programs and services.
Goodwill is a valuable asset to the community we serve as demonstrated by this great achievement. And, I am so proud that this is our 11th three-year accreditation!
