Residential Programs
Goodwill of South Central Wisconsin has provided residential services since 1977. Currently, Goodwill offers three housing options: an adult family home, group home living and supportive apartment living.

Adult Family Homes
Goodwill’s Adult Family Home is located in a single-family residential neighborhood in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. Perfect for the person who does not need nursing home care but can no longer live alone, the home is fully accessible in order to serve individuals in wheelchairs or with limited mobility.
Residents enjoy private or semi-private bedrooms and semi-private bathrooms. All residents share a living/dining area and kitchen. A Goodwill staff member lives on site as well, in separate living quarters.
Safe and affordable, a monthly fee covers room and board, as well as a full range of services and amenities.
Group Home Living
Goodwill manages several licensed group homes for people with a serious and persistent mental illness, and contracts with counties to provide residents with intensive support and assistance.
The program helps people acquire the range of skills necessary for community living, and offers a variety of opportunities for supported community access and personal enrichment. Residents have the opportunity to develop new, healthier coping strategies in a positive, rewarding setting. Professional group home staff members provide guidance, support, training, coordination, and transportation 24 hours a day.
Supportive Apartment Living
Unfortunately, people with limited incomes have few housing choices. This is especially true for those trying to live on Social Security or SSI. In response, Goodwill has developed independent apartments for senior citizens and people with disabilities or other special needs.
With a federal subsidy from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), tenants set aside one third (1/3) of their income as rent to live in these quality apartments. Each apartment building has an on-site property manager who is available to help support residents in a variety of ways.
